I have a urlhasbeenblocked battery pack and it's been serving me well. Think I might buy one of these for the car.

Looks like a pretty good price for something that should come in handy with my old car. Experiences?

Are the jump starter ports universal (or at least common to multiple brands)?
I have a Suaoki and it looks like the port and cables have the same connector, but this one has a microUSB input versus the Suaoki's proprietary AC adapter.
Would be nice to have interchangeable cables/accessories across both units...

TIA!

I'm pretty certain they're universal. This urlhasbeenblocked has the universal port. Look up "EC5 Plug Connector" and you'll find handy adapters [amazon.com] you can use in it.

Each brand or model might use a different type of port/connector for the jump cable. But if the connector looks same as yours, then most likely they will be the same spec, actually that part might come from the same factory

Thanks!
I had forgotten that after I bought the Suaoki I was going to look for one of these adapters that allows you to charge via the 12V cigarette lighter port rather than clamping to the battery.

Do you happen to have any links for that? I can only find EC5 adapters that provide a 12V port to plug 12V accessories into.

TIA!

It looks like it's called an EC5 or EC-5 plug. Checking some accessories out now.

Probably for smaller cars like a Civic or similar I'd imagine..

Not sure what this is based on.

This one (as well as I believe all 400A peak jump starters) is rated for 4L gasoline or 3L diesel engines.

Civic engine is only 1.5L
Accord engine is 2.4L
Pilot/Ridgeline engines are 3.5L

Seems like this should be fine for all of those.

it would be nice if it had more mAh. I will need to charge this battery (8000mAh ) more often than the ones with higher capacity.

This good deal has been on/off for awhile.

IIRC, the manual for my 18000mAh capacity one recommended charging every 3 months. I would think that the capacity is intended to correlate with the engine size and power demand of your vehicle rather than storage period.
i.e. I wouldn't be surprised if this is also recommended to be charged every 3 months, with the rationale that this unit (versus, say an 18000mAh or larger) is meant to be paired with a smaller vehicle that doesn't draw as much power for each jump.

I'm just speculating, though.
