Even with removable battery, nice S5 accessory to have when you can't afford to stow along spare batteries (provided you don't mind a little added bulk/weight). Or, if you're simply a 'case junkie' like myself that ends up buying a variety for their phones WinkEligible for an extra $5 off when you buy two select accessories: Full List [ebay.com]

Good deal, I've been looking for a new case for a while and while battery cases are appealing, most have some major drawbacks or cost too much. The mophi was in the "costs too much" bucket, but this is well within my price range! In fact this is probably the cheapest battery case for an s5 I have ever seen. Which in a way, concerns me. Guess I'll find out soon enough if it's a truly great deal or if it's this cheap for a reason.

How do you manage to install this case with the charging port cover? Bulk does not matter to me since I've been using my wireless charging adding with case. Furthermore, is this battery case water-resistant just like the S5 itself?

As With any battery case for the s5, it is permanently plugged in to the charging port. So no, it will not be water proof. But it would still be fine if caught in the rain for a short time, I'm sure.

How do I deal with the attached charging port cover? Remove it?

I'm not sure about this case. Some you can bend it over and leave it attached. Some cases require you to remove it completely, thus destroying the lanyard that connects it to the phone. You could still put the plug cover in and possibly regain water protection, but when removed again there would be an increased risk of losing it.
I'll let you know once I get mine and install it.

You can just unscrew the compartment that is holding it in to remove it after taking off the back case. No need to rip it out or anything.

Thanks guys...my guess might be right. I don't think I want to do any extra work to increase the risk to just putting in a battery case. I might just get an extra battery. My wireless charging back is just better overall.

I have extra batteries and charging packs all over the house. But when I go to work or go out, I never think to grab one, plus it's just annoying enough to not bother. This is where a battery case becomes convenient for me. It's just always there, part of my phone.

Good point, I will do that instead. Thanks!

It sounds complicated but its super easy to remove the dust cover. Here's a picture showing where it is. Its the bottom left of the picture. They already took the screw out, then you just lift it up.

The questions/answers on Amazon say there is space for you to flip the dust cover out of the way without having to remove it.

Got mine today. Charged it and installed the phone.
The fit and finish is great, much better than other cheap battery cases I've seen.
The case actually protects the phones edges which is fantastic. Many battery cases don't.
There is indeed a little spot for the phones attached charging port cover to fold over and tuck into. While this may stress the lanyard a little, its very convenient and makes the install / removal super easy. My phone can be waterproof again in seconds if I remove the battery case.

It has an on-off switch so you don't have to enable the battery case all the time.

When charging through the case, both phone and case charge simultaneously regardless of the on - off switch position.

It does have holes for the IR sensor, top mic, and headphone jack, however there is no direct hole for the bottom mic or speaker on the bottom. There seem to be channeled holes on the bottom front of the case, which Im guessing allow a channel to the mic and speaker. Have to had a chance to test for degraded sound quality with either yet.

External buttons are great. Very easy to press and give a confirming click, unlike se cases I've used which are spongy and leave you wondering if you hit the button or not.

All in all, this was a screaming deal at $20. You will not beat this price for a quality battery case for an s5.

UPDATE !! DO NOT BUY THIS!!
This case DESTROYS your cell reception! I went from having 2-3 bars in my house to 0 when I try to make a call! It says I have 2 bars but the instant I try to make a call it drops to 0 and beeps as I have no cell service..
So then when someone tried to call me, they just get voice-mail while my phone sits there showing 2 bars and never rings once. It's like it doesn't realize it has no service until you try to use it.
My phone has NEVER had any issues with reception. This is the first time I've ever had a call drop since I've owned it.
If I go outside, where I would normally have full bars, I am able to make a call but the reception is poor, the other person can't hear some of what I say and sometimes calls still drop randomly anyway.. From FULL BARS to ZERO? ? Come on..
This is such a let down. This literally makes the Case useless for me! Going to attempt a return. I did NOT see this coming from Mophie..

Update 2: the case only acts as a total signal jammer when charging is enabled. If you turn off the cases charging switch, you will get slightly degraded signal. I lose about 1 bar with the case on. The moment you flip the switch on though, good bye signal.

Bummer Frown I'm very sorry to hear about this issue. Had I been aware of it, I probably wouldn't have bothered with posting. The price seemed very attractive for a Mophie and I guess this is could be why.

Did anyone else buy this and receive theirs; and is experiencing similar issues?

Mine arrived DOA. The battery indicator lights display a full charge, but the phone doesn't indicate charging when the switch is turned on. Nor does the pass-through charging to the phone work when the cable is plugged in to it. This many be my imagination, but I recently returned one of these to Amazon and this one feels lighter? Not sure if to try an actual warranty claim, or attempt return/replacement from seller.
