I just bought a Netgear high performance Wi-Fi router model R7800 on Amazon.com and got a free, $52 Value, Seagate 1TB Hard Drive! Looks like Amazon is giving away these free $52 hard drives on all of their Nighthawk router models.

Costco has it for $139.99 if you are a member. (Just the router). (Note that it is R6900 and not R7000 according to reviews).

low-end router with low-end hd, you're guaranteed to pay more in the long run.

After I read your post I went to look at the Costco model vs. the one at Amazon. It seems the Costco model is the R6900 vs the Amazon model which is the R7000. The most visible differences is the R7000 comes with an additional USB 2.0 port. Less obvious, and important to some (me for example), but not all, is that you cannot load third party firmware on it, or at least could not according to this article from February.

Still seems like a good deal if that is not important to you.

Some of the most stable routers on a good deal. The R7800 is pretty much the best router out there. Will be returning my R8500 for this, thanks op!

paid <100 on Craigslist for the R7000 recently. I saw another for $70. I'd go the used route on this
