This is a perfect keyboard for me, but damnit, I want brown switches. Blue looks cool, but I don't know if I can handle that sound for very long.

I have blue at work and brown at home ( quite opposite to what people usually do) but here is my suggestion - just go for blue. The sound and the clicky tactile feedback is amazing. The sound is not too much and if you are really concentrating on your work, then you anyway don't care about the keyboard sounds. But in case you start paying attention to the sound, it will be amazing and kinda gives that kick of getting work done assuming you are not playing games.

if you don't NEED to have cherry mx key switches there are keyboards with mx blue clones for much cheaper, at around $45 for a full sized one, or $6-7 cheaper without the numpad. this one, for example: https://www.amazon.com/EagleTec-K...015MPQQ0A/. it's much easier to clean too, with the raised keys.

Just my 2 cents, but I've got blue switches (but on a different keyboard--Das Keyboard 4) and I actually enjoy the sound. The machine gun sound when you're really productive and pounding away at the keyboard is like positive audio feedback for my brain. One of the keys (Caps Lock) doesn't produce the clicky sound and I actually get super annoyed whenever I hit it.
