I picked mine up refurbed at $40 - must say these are the best.. The bluetooth connectivity is nice with the button to switch between 3 devices -- Laptop - Samsung TV - Nexus Player.. Rechargeable battery is great!! I have a ton of mice and these are my "goto"

Any big differences between the first anywhere mouse?

I have the first one and I love it.

The logitech mx anywhere (v1) has great review and almost identical to the version 2.

Yeah I've been using the v1 for over 3 years now. Looking at reviews, the biggest new features of this v2 are rechargeable batteries and Bluetooth. If those aren't important to you, the cheaper v1 looks like the better pick.

If you need the Bluetooth, get this one, if not, the first gen is still the best

Here's a tip:

If your old mouse moves your cursor sluggishly across the screen, the mouse is probably just dirty. Blow out the sensor on the bottom of the mouse. If possible, use an air can for high pressure.

Does the 2nd version include a carrying pouch for the mouse?

Main PROS/CONS I see:

V2 (this version) has Bluetooth. The Bluetooth works well on latest Mac OS / Windows 10, but I had no luck on Windows 7 (which has sub-par Bluetooth support). This allows you to very quickly switch between 3 (compatible) Bluetooth devices (using the switch under the mouse).

V1 (typically) has 3 years warranty! This V2 version only has 1 year warranty. I've had 4 of the V1 models, 3 which failed between the 1st and 3rd years. (2 of them had one of the mouse buttons started acting up and the 3rd stopped working on glass)

The DPI/Speed/Accuracy performance seems comparable to me, really awesome! (I mean for a non-gaming mouse. Gaming mice are mostly wired anyway).

Personally I think $50 for this mouse is a tad bit high (got used to getting the V1 for about $30), but it would be the mouse I would get if I needed a mouse right now.

Amazon also offers $49.99. For my state (AL), it's no tax compared with Bestbuy 9% sale

No it does not - I use the one from my Gen 1

Also the mx2 does not have a place to store the usb receiver - forgot to mention that, but I still really like this mouse..
