Are you stating this compared to other gluten free waffles, or is this just a bad attempt to be funny/snarky? Gluten free food is getting immensely better than it used to be, and is great for people that are ACTUALLY forced to avoid gluten (weird unnecessary gluten haters aside). God I miss delicious gluten. Frown

Bread still sucks, but I find trader joes and almost every brand of gluten free waffles to taste almost identical to similar frozen gluten waffles. If you're being sincere, and this is in fact worse than comparable brands, I will avoid.

I've tried these and it is an acquired taste but not in a bad way, I mean if your a fanboy of eggo's then you won't like these at all. Its kind of like going from drinking spring water to distilled water.

I think these are great. They're frozen waffles, not hand made.

Why does he have to be snarky or funny to state his opinion? All he's doing is saying they taste like crap. laugh out loud

I tried the Van's Gluten Free Crackers that were Free after Coupon + iBotta Rebate and they tasted pretty gross also. They had a weird after-taste and were pretty dark, almost like they had been cooked too long or were burnt.

With that said, I feel for the people who have celiac disease or who are truly gluten sensitive. However, I think there are so many who just say they are being gluten-free like it's some new health fad or diet when they could definitely tolerate gluten. Restaurants also capitalize on it too. I saw a hamburger place offering gluten-free buns as a substitution for like $1.50 each. Pretty insane when they have days where they offer a single steakburger (on a regular bun) for $1.00 itself.

No way man, these waffles do suck. I've been gluten-free for 3 years now because of Celiac and I still haven't found waffles that make me forget about the real, gluten-y, good ones.

Wafers, cookies, hell even pizza crust (when compared to thin crust) are all spot on. These waffles? Not even close.

Ok good to know, thanks! I'll pass on these, as I do really like the trader joes ones. I just wish they had a blueberry option, for now it's limited to plain.

I feel your pain. I'm not sure what gluten does to me, but my body hates it. I had horrid heartburn and stomach ulcers for years and years, doctors couldn't figure out what it was, and only ever recommended I get on medication. I always refused for obvious reasons. Finally I took it upon myself and started cutting things out, finally cutting out gluten. It was almost an immediate relief, and after 3 weeks the symptoms went away completely.

I'm not sure why people choose to cut gluten out without it harming their body. It's so damn delicious. I am glad people are weird like that though, because it's become more mainstream, cutting prices down.
