The 20% pre-order for Prime doesn't apply here because it only applies to the list price and not the discounted price.

All but the Harry Potter Team Pack $14.99 via target are dead.

Is the extra 20% supposed to show? Prime Member, but I've never taken advantage of that pre-order discount. It isn't showing in my cart.

Update: 20% for Prime only applies to list price, so won't stack with the 40%.

Is that community wiki automatically added by Slick Deals because a lot of the time it doesn't apply and is quite misleading.

How is this a popular deal if it doesn't work?

The games are 40% off regardless, so that is awesome for a pre-order.

In January when Lego Dimensions was on sale for pre-order the 20% off was applied to the sale price when the order shipped. That's how many of us ended up getting the fun packs for $2.50, as well as good deals on other sets. The initial price only showed sale price. Remember that you are not charged until the item ships. Hope this helps.

The story pack seems like a great deal, but seems overpriced for what it is. Who really needs to decorate the baseplater

I invested a lot in disney infinity and playmation and both are dead. Now I am wary of these toys to games series. But my son has been begging me to get this...what should I do?

I say go for it. Lego games are a blast for all ages, and you can grab various level/team packs dirt cheap if you wait long enough...

Care to point me to that thread where that happened? I was doing some research and the 20% prime discount should show in the cart. I tested this on some regular pre-orders (NHL 17 for example) and confirmed it does show that as "prime savings".

I did find a promo from the end of December from Amazon that was doing a $5/$10 promo discount on packs, is that what you are referring to? I think that may be why it stacked because it wasn't just a sale price, it was a promo discount that applied at checkout.

If you enjoy building Legos and you enjoy the Lego games, it is probably worth it. Not at full price for me, but if you can get them at 50% or better. The Starter Pack alone is a lot of game time. You can always sell em wants you get tired of em.

We bought the Dimensions starter pack last christmas and then about $100 in random add on packs that went on sale since then. My kids spent all summer working on just the Doctor Who Level Pack so I feel like we go lt our $20 or so out of that. We haven't even touched the 3 other add-on world we got access to. I haven't kept up but it looks like they are actively adding new worlds (A-Team? Adventure Time? Mission Impossible?...) so it looks like, programming-wise, they are full steam ahead right now.

At some point, LD will probably go the way of the DoDO too but I guess even then you'll still have some unique LEGO figures and kits you can play with... Smilie
