Thread Details

Put one fish oil and one multivitamin in your cart. 2 more of each will be automatically added to your cart. The men's multivitamin is on backorder, but should be back in stock in 10 days.

I combined this with the Amex $10 back from $30 purchase.

not to thread crap, as it seems like a great deal, but I wish there was yearly testing done on all the vitamins and other supplements out there.

You really don't know what you're getting sometimes, meaning if whats in the supp is really what is being posted on the bottle. I somewhat recall a few well known companies having to take products for not having what they said they had.

Yes, I think that's true of all vitamins and supplements, unfortunately.

Look for USP label. The vitamins will have been tested to contain what they say they do.

good to know, thx.

but not one of mine said that. And I have NOW, Puritan's Pride, Twinlab, GNC, Nature Made, and a couple of others.

Would it say "USP" or have a label with that in there?

It's on the label itself so you would be able to see it before you buy it.

A lot of vitamins and supplements don't have the label. You can see the brands that have it through this link.

You can see what the USP label looks like here.

I usually look for the mark when looking for prenatal vitamins for my wife. Since I figure that's pretty important to know what's going on in there.

thanks.

from a marketing perspective, what a huge miss to not add that label to your product. I know now, that's what I'll be looking for, and I would choose one that had the label on it, rather than having to go to a website and find which company is verified. Seems like marketing 101 was missed.

I think It's one of those things where most people don't think about it. So companies don't feel the need to have it tested.

Just to be clear, not having the label doesn't mean the pill doesn't have what the label says it does. It very well could be exactly what they say it is. But, it just hasn't been tested by anyone to verify that it does and doesn't contain anything else you might not want.

Sorry to hijack thread.
