Ukuleles are a lot of fun. I play 4 instruments and this one is the one I grab and jam on.

Any thoughts on this one vs the Kala KA-15S?

You can play anything on it, even Black Sabbath. https://www.amazon.com/Black-Sabb...0825637546

I play a bit and prefer the concert size because it's a bit bigger and easier for my clumsy hands.

Is this a solid wood Ukulele or a sawdust and glue toy?

Shame you know it's bad. These walmart instruments usually are. One of the complaints is that it comes out of tune with plucking the strings. Like...That isn't acceptable on ANY string instrument. By "walmart" I mean cheap junk stuff. In this case it's amazon :p

Another edit...It's just what you expect for the price. I am not singling this thing out...ANY 60 dollar instrument is cutting huge corners.

Kala is actually a pretty reputable low-end brand. I am from Hawaii, and people play ukuleles left and right here, with many of them owning Kala. I have a few different ukuleles, one being a Tenor Kala. It was price pointed at $113 at a local store, but plays like a $500. The model is more important than the company.

Totally agree. I'm from Hawaii, and I have a cheap concert Kala made with lam mahogany (around $100 originally), and a $1,200 solid Koa tenor uke. I honestly love both almost equally, both have solid builds, sound really sweet. This looks like a great deal, if you are comfortable playing on a soprano size.

Not sure if yall still live in Hawaii. I was curious if living in Hawaii prevents you from getting a lot of slick deals since everything is more expensive?
