The UD590 packs a 28-inch 3840×2160 TN panel (157 PPI), capable of displaying 10-bit color (1 billion colors) at 60Hz with 1ms GTG

I believe the Costco one is UE590 instead of UD590, one is 5ms response time one is 1ms.

is this the same one currently on sale at Best Buy for same price? i hear it doesn't do 4k at 60hz via HDMI which is a bummer.

Says it has HDMI 2.0 so should be capable. If not, should be able to use Display port 1.2 to achieve the 60hz.

Reviews are showing that HDMI 2 will do 60hz with proper cable. HDMI 1 is only 30 hz. Not a bad deal, not sure if I can deal with the TN panel but may be worth trying.

This being a TN monitor, does anyone have experience on how it looks vs. an IPS monitor? (have a smaller Dell Ultrasharp)

No IPS?? Surprised we're seeing these non IPS panels in this day and age.

Not good deal compared to the AOC one that sold for $300 and included FreeSync tech as well.

I bought that monitor and I'm quite happy with it

Nah, because not everyone is an IPS snob. I have triple 4k TN panels on my setup. I game, and TN has lower response time. I'm not a video editor so I don't care about 110% color accuracy, and I sit right in front of my monitors, so why do I care about viewing angles? Not only that, but blacks are still better on TN panels.

So, there you have it. That's why, because 75% or more of us can use TN panels just fine.

Right. i am aware displayport does 60hz but I'm really needing it on HDMI as well for it to suit my needs.

If anyone is in the same boat as me, I recommend the LG 27UD68. You lose an inch in size but a beautiful IPS panel and HDMI supports 4k/60hz.

Interesting,
let me look into this one as well. It's a TN so I don't know how that would be coming from an IPS. I'm assuming it does only 4k 30hz on hdmi as well?
Legacy ports like vga,dvi is a plus.
