Saw this today at Walmart. Good deal on a nice grill, I've had mine for about 2 yrs and love it so far.

Weird, I just left Walmart and I checked brickseeker, it says 0 on stock. I guess its possible someone bought 2 of them in the last 15 minutes...

I'd be curious if the stock says 0 in brickseeker but still on the shelves.

I've found Brickseek's Walmartinventory to be inaccurate when it comes to grills. I've been to two local stores that showed a zero quantity for the Akorn through Brickseek, yet each store had two sitting on the shelf. Well, make that one less because I bought a spare for $139. [:^)

I agree that Brickseek is not accurate for these "Seasonal Items". I've found numerous Weber grills that weren't on Brickseek. Unfortunately, I've hit 5 different WalMarts in the last day and haven't been able to find any of these Akorn Kamados. I've seen several of the Akorn Jr (for $128), but not the full size.

I picked up one at my Walmart a few days ago at this price. Only saw the one on the shelf. Also, lots of Weber kettles, q1200s, and throw away gas grills half off as well.

I give up after going to 9 different Walmarts in the area (Metro ATL). Some Akorn Jr.s, but no full size.

I picked up one of these yesterday at $139. I had gone to pick up a 2nd Weber smoker at $80 but got the kooker after seeing its price. Brickseek says there are zero in stock but there were at least 6 still on the shelf when I left.

How does this compare to the one that Costco had on clearance for like $500 several weeks ago? Is this in the same class but just super clearance price, or is this a whole level lower product?

I'm finishing up my 3rd summer with this grill and I absolutely love it! We also got one for my dad for father's day this year. Excellent cooker very versatile!

Well I used the Akorn for the first time today and messed up 90% of the food. I put some ribs and chicken on it and ended up getting in a deep conversation with the neighbor. By the time I made it back to the grill, the ribs were fukked and burned to a crisp. I ran out and bought another rack of ribs and threw them on. Went upstairs to play with the kids and fell asleep in the game room. Woke up 3 hours later and ran to the grill and the 2nd rack was burned to a crisp. By the way, this is with both the top and lower vents practically closed. All I have to show for is a few chicken wings that didn't get burned but at least the dog is happy since he has a lot of burnt BBQ to chew on.I have to get used to cooking on a Komodo because this is totally different than my old offset smoker.
