Rather surprised it hasn't been posted already, but Home and Cook Sales [homeandcooksales.com] is having another All-Clad Factory Seconds sale. Active now through 8/17 (11:59pm ET). Entry code of 'allcladhot' is required, though they publish it on the front page.

While it should be common knowledge, 'Factory Seconds' is defined as minor cosmetic scratches or dents, but no defects which would affect the cookware's performance

Historically ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Not even cancellations. So get it right the first time Wink

This sale happens on a regular basis; SD has quite a history of posts & comments for those interested.

*EDIT* - Email notification this Thurs morning that the sale has been extended an extra day through 8/18 @ 11:59pm ET

Last go-around in June there was a Discover offer that was supposed to be restricted to cardholders, but no validation resulted in a 'loophole' everyone could take advantage of. At least that's the context I gleaned.

I suppose something similar could still exist, but the general idea of cosmetic blemish at a discount is a coupon in itself. Per the above troll, though, your personal value is YMMV

This is one of their main sale item 82% OFF
Fry Pan Set, 8-In. & 10-In. / Hard Anodized - Second Quality
$46 shiped + taxes
Bed Bath and Beyond has it for 60 shipped (plus taxes) everyday regular price. If you have coupons at BBB, you can have it for much less. Brand new at BBB vs 2nd quality at this crap place.

Even their Amazing Unbelievable deals WITHOUT Lids are not worth the saving over Amazon's Everyday price WITH Lids. Oh and Second Quality items.

To me, it seems like OP is self promoting his/her own site.

Dear Lord, I do love the Internet. Where the assumption that I, in a fit of clairvoyance, created an account five years ago just hoping that I could peddle my wares! Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Those who know have seen this before, and regularly. Those who don't can make the minimal amount of effort involved in a SD history search.

All clad is, of course, the gold standard in cooking, but for most people, Tramontina is nearly as good [seriouseats.com].

They have these sales every 6-8 weeks now, and the prices are typically not quite as good as what you'll find in the normal hot deals. I don't even bother looking most of the time - prices are about 20% higher than when this was a once to twice per year "deal"

Thanks for the heads up but honestly they're wearing out any sort of exclusive deal feel here...what's the point of having a password when everyone knows it?

I cannot imagine a bigger waste of money (well, I'm sure I can) then buying all-clad non-stick.

And you can get an 8 piece set for less (and on sale for much less) here:

All Clad is just not worth it even with the seconds, given the above (unless money is burning holes in your pockets).

All Clad (with copper core) is extremely good for heat disruption to nearly eliminate hot spots no matter what heat source you use, but since they are about 1/2 the thickness of other aluminum-core pans they don't retain as much heat so searing a thick steak requires a very high heat source to keep the pan at a high temp. The advantage is that the heat in the pans can be adjusted very quickly compared to a thicker aluminum-core pan that will continue to burn your food for 20secs even after turning off your heat source. The handles are extremely uncomfortable because they are very narrow and have sharp edges on the top sides that dig into your palm and fingers. All Clad pans are about 1/2 the thickness of similar pans so they are lighter and will bend easier if dropped, but they are very high quality and function as well as any other pan on the market as long as you take care of them.

I recently purchased the Cuisinart Multi Clad Pro 12pc set $229 as well as the All Clad 10pc set $1299 and a single Demeyere Pro Line 9.4" skillet $199.99 for comparison because I don't mind paying 5x the price or more for a cook set that I'm going to have for the rest of my life if I get a significant performance increase. The Denemeyere pan retains the most heat and sears steaks the best, the Cuisinart Multi Clad Pro 10" skillet was very close in performance, and the All Clad pan seemed to retain about 1/2 as much heat which makes sense since it has about 1/2 the amount of metal compared to the other 2 brands. The Demeyere pan was the most comfortable handle but the Cuisinart wasn't far behind. The All Clad handle is so stupidly non-ergonomic that I returned it after cooking with them for only 2 days because it digs into my hand on both sides and requires a towel or mit to hold a full pot or pan, not because it's hot, but because it feels like the back of 2 butter knives being gouged into my hand by The Rock. The decision was now between Cuisinart and Demeyere, and since the Cuisinart's performance seemed to be within 10% of Demeyere I chose to keep the Cuisinart set which I've had for a month now cooking with them every day without any regrets. After I made my decision based on my tests, I found these websites and reviews that pretty much mirror my findings:

IDK why people need to come here and shit on you letting people know that there's an All-Clad factory second sale. Either you don't mind buying a USA made Factory Second All-Clad, or you buy a Chinese made Tramontina which has been proven to be just as good. To each their own. I personally like the piece of mind of a USA made (sans the lids) pan that will probably last longer than I will.

The Factory Seconds deals aren't bad at all especially for their main line of cookware. The damages/blemishes can barely be noticed (on all the pieces that I have bought from the Factory Second-Sale) if even there at all. It also makes the non-stick pans a little more justifiable in price albeit still a silly buy.

Good call OP I didn't even notice an email stating there was going to be a sale. Thank you.

Same here. Thanks OP for the notice - didn't even see an email from them (or maybe I missed it). I have enough for now, unless there's an extra coupon code then I might get something Smilie Repped.

The back-and-forth here is entertaining, but bottom line is that this still qualifies as a Hot Deal.

For years, I had a topic alert for "All Clad" because A) All Clad Stainless saute' pans really are the best cookware you'll ever own and B) deals were extremely rare.

Now yes, suddenly in the last 1-2 years it seems like these sales have started to come every couple of months. But I looked at the inventory and the prices, and guess what?

1) This is still a Hot Deal on everything except the items that are typically promoted as loss leaders at retailers like BBB and Macy's (the 8" and 10" fry pans and the 3qt saute' pan)
2) There is more variety of inventory than usual
3) It's still a legitimate sale -- that is, the deal comes more frequently than it used to, but it does expire. It's not going to be available next week.

I recommend the large skillets and the stock pots. Stainless is the best. Don't waste your money on the MC2 and Copper varieties.
