Weird, link didn't show up for me when I first clicked the thread...

Anyway, I have the R7500v2 (different model), and while the coverage is amazing, it drops the connection frequently. Updated the firmware, and it still does it. *sigh* Fortunately, my FIOS router operates at 2.4GHz so that's available as a backup, but it's frustrating especially for my wife on her Chromebook, which is very picky about WiFi.

So R7500v2 is different from R7500-200NAS? I thought that was just the official part number for v2. I still jumped on it because my DIR-655 from 2008 is in hospice.

I think it's just different packaging and marketing. Mine appears to be identical hardware, but it was listed as the AC2350 when I bought it from BestBuy. It was also $149 when I bought it, but I don't recall the original price (it was listed on here a few months ago).

I just found mine on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Netgear-R7...B00MRVJY5C, at $185), but I remember that there were two different packages when I bought it. The first one was the R7500, and the second was the R7500v2. Perhaps Netgear rebranded the v2 to the one on sale right now.

I bought Netgear Nighthawk X6 AC3200 Tri-Band Gigabit Router for almost $150.

$208.61 - $30 Newegg GC - $25 (via Amex Offer) - Keyboard/ Mouse (atleast $10 resale value) = $143.61

TIME MACHINE:
Walmart had these on clearance in January

There's some discussion in this SD thread about the quality of the router, problems, fixes, etc.

Wal-Mart sold the first version of this, which had issues.

There are two versions of this router, R7500-100NAS and R7500-200NAS. The first version had lots of issues and has been selling for pretty cheap. The second version should be much better and is usually $220+.

Did/does the V2 indicate the 2nd version? The ones I bought were all V2 but I know there was also stock of a previous version.

Is this a completely new version?

I got the this router (Mimo v2, etc.) for $69 at Walmart back when they were clearancing the v1. They apparently had the same UPC at the time, so it worked. That being said, it's been great, but does seem to reset the signal every so often. You'll get no internet for about 15 seconds and then it'll come back on. Happens every few days, but it resolves itself.
