Thrivemarket is shady. They enrolled me in their subscription fee without one single word on their site after I had taken advantage of a similar deal a month of so ago. It's not just me, there are dozens and dozens of people who have been billed for this fee with no notice whatsoever.

I went with their offer for the "free" almond butter and the website informed me immediately before even entering payment information about the subscription and fees.

You're right. I must have been looking at the wrong size.

They may have cleaned up their act but believe me, I'm a very savvy consumer and there was zero indication of any membership fee.

It took me two phone calls and two emails to cancel. Be prepared to work a bit for this deal. Wasn't worth it to me.

same here. they keep asking "are you really sure?" then they make you a couple of special offers.

I also had an issue where the item arrived damaged so they sent a new one. However, they activated a membership again when they sent it so I had to contact them to fix that a second time.

They will spam your email, and pretend your free offer is "time limited," only to send you another email the next day about how they graciously extended your free offer period.

I used a virtual card # with a $1.95 credit limit on it. Hopefully that'll make it easier for me
