it's adequate. i prefer portable over plugin. if only panasonic would figure out how to keep it completely sealed and use AA rechargeable batteries. i used eneloops with another panasonic portable model. much better than rechargeable waterpik. another option is user-replaceable battery in this irrigator, but i doubt panasonic would allow it.

Yah I mean cordless sucks not just panasonic. It just doesn't provide enough power as the wired versions.

How much better is this or a waterpik vs traditional floss? I have never used an item like this before. Is it worth the investment?

This model is new so i don't know about it but i assume if it's like waterpik or the older panasonic compact, or better, then it's good enough. I've used all of them. Plugin waterpik set to the highest speed is the strongest but if i have to choose portability over power i prefer AA battery powered portable. No need for multiple speed setting in portables. Slow speed is useless in any of them.

have you used the Philips Air floss? If so, is this better? I love my air floss but its unreliable long term. The none replaceable battery dies within 2 yrs.

yes i bought and returned the same day. that POS should not even be sold anywhere. it's a joke. neither a floss nor irrigator.
