You can grab a free 10 day xp boost if you are a ps plus member. Normally costs 550 coins which is $5.50.

Been playing Paragon since it was given early access via ps plus offer last month. It's a really fun game. Now everyone can play free. Paragon does not require PS Plus unlike this offer.

I've had access to this since May. It updates itself every week on my PS4 but I've actually never booted it up.

This or Battleborn?

Never played Battleborn but it's probably much more fun. Though you can try Paragon for yourself. I'm pretty sure you'll be disappointed pretty quickly and you'll switch to Battleborn anyway.

Paragon is extremely slow-paced. It feels like a shooter slowed down (I only played as a ranged class). You can only shoot every 3-5 seconds or so. If you miss, wait another 3-5 seconds before your next shot. Instead of items you have cards that you can buy and it can speed up your character a little bit to maybe 2 second per shot. Then there's your abilities, I feel they do no damage except for your super. Throughout the whole game you just feel weak. It's a very sad game to be honest but that's just my opinion. Please play it yourself. I predict most people would put the controller down and switch to a different game quickly.

I think the game is very entertaining. The matches do last longer but that is something the devs have been trying to fix. It is a different game than I'm used to, not just a shooter/team death match but more objective based.

Common complaints are that it is too much like team death match and not enough MOBA but that is apparently something they are working on. I'm not sure though as I haven't played any other MOBAs before.

Almost true, I played two matches. Both were equally boring. No need to continue to punish myself.

No. The base attack speed for most heroes is a little over 1 second per attack. The maximum attack speed is 2.5 attacks per second (0.4 seconds per attack). It is not slow-paced.

Both Battleborn and Overwatch are not comparable games, because they are both developed and marketed as FPS games. Paragon is closer to League of Legends or DOTA2 in gameplay, the primary difference being that Paragon gets away from the isometric view and is 3rd person instead. I think that is what makes *some* people think it's supposed to be a shooter.

But It is a MOBA, NOT a FPS. If you want a twitch shooter, go play CoD or Battlefield.

I really enjoy this game, but it is definitely should not be compared to a FPS. There is a lot of strategy involved in this game that may not be apparent to a brand new player, I certainly had no idea what was going on at first and was getting absolutely pummeled. You need to learn when/where you should be attacking other enemy players otherwise you will just get owned and feed the other team XP, increasing the power of their characters and making them even harder to fight.

If you are going to try this game out, I would stick to a fighter class character to start with. The ranged characters are much harder to play with in my opinion and require much more skill and knowledge of the strategy in the game before they should be used. I still get demolished unless I am using a character that I have some practice with. The characters I would recommend trying as a beginner are Kameira, Grux, Greystone, or Feng Maui. Create a deck of basically all basic attack powerups and you should be ok to start off with.
