I may get some thumbs-down for this but.....the "fat" model is such a pain in the ass. Yes, it has that beautiful display, but you can not forgive the stupid proprietary charging port. What a pain in ass that is!

Not only are the Sony chargers $2.97, but the Nyko with speakers is only 97 cents

I agree wholeheartedly.

I have both and the screen is beautiful but oversaturated on the OLED.

The main draws that keep me coming back to the slim are the standardized charging port and the significantly better battery life.

I'm playing Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus on the Vita right now. It's so good and it's amazing you can play a game like this on a handheld. In a perfect world, the Vita would be super successful and awesome games like Bloodborne and Fallout would be ported over to it.

But in a perfect world, I guess Sony wouldn't have made it's consumers buy the overpriced memory chips to store games on. If this is the main reason (and I think it is) that the Vita never took off, then that's a damn shame. It's a sin that the Vita is not universally loved and revered.

Its good to know Sony is still making parts for a handheld they have basically abandoned.
