Hello, I'm a long time T-Mobile customer (15yrs) plus. I have a deal talk question, maybe somewhat unethical.

I want to get the new iPhone they are going to announce next month.

Can I port over to Verizon
Pay a month or two of service, while taking the new I phone on payments
Port the new iPhone back over to T-Mobile and have them cover the remaining balance, while trading in another phone.
Then claim remaining balance and use the Verizon iPhone on T-Mobile ?
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Yes you can port to verizon for 3 months (90 days) then port back to T-Mobile and get new t-mobile deals and have them pay your ETF fees etc....if they are still offering the ETF fee deal at that point. However you can not use a Verizon Iphone on T-Mobile. Verizon is CDMA and T-Mobile is GSM. Even if you are a Verizon customer for 6 months 180 days and get them to unlock the Iphone. There is no guarantee that the iphone will work on T-Mobile or any GSM Network in the US. The CDMA carriers are still not fully unlocking GSM capable phones for GSM sims in the USA. I also dion't think you would really save any money doing this whole process. Your best bet would probably be to just call T-Mobile customer service with the latest and greatest Verizon/AT&T iphone 7 deal and see if they will match it. If they say no ask for Retentions and see what they say... If they persist on not working to keep you as a customer then look into the switch and see if it would actually save you any money in the long run.

Now if you want to go to ATT and get a GSM Iphone, and then after your ETF Fees are paid with ATT you can get them to unlock the Iphone and you could use it on T-Mobile at that point, but doing it with Verizon, USCellular, or Sprint which are all CDMA would not necessarily get you a working Iphone on T-Mobile.

You can use the Verizon IPHONE on Tmobile. All Verizon smartphones made since 2014 are unlocked and can be used with Any GSM carrier in the world. With ATT they probablly wont unlock the phone since the phone would still be under contract.

Does it support Hi Def voice? Without it, voice quality is horrible at Tmobile.
