Don't sit on your Nexbit too much, it won't last.

reviews don't look very good
I had this phone. I was actually part of the Kickstarter, and got the Kickstarter exclusive Electric color. I hated and loved it. The parts that I loved were the fantastic design, and the excellent build quality. It's an eye catcher. People will constantly be asking you what phone you have. The DAC seems a lot better than the ones used in other phones in that it got a lot louder. With high impedance IEMs I didn't need an external amp to get decent volume. I loved the size. It's not a giant phone, and it seems increasingly difficult to get a phone which isn't enormous. These are the only things I loved.

What did i hate? It's basically a public beta. The product came with a ton of bugs. They quickly released a patch, which caused a bunch of other issues. For example, the audio cuts in and out on headphones. It's infuriating. They set it so the minimum volume is way too loud. When I complained about this on their community, they said they were working on a fix. I didn't pay to participate in a beta program. I returned the phone for a refund.

Oh another thing, they have this community forum. If you complain too much about the flaws of the product, they start to treat you like a malcontent. They say "but we're just a plucky upstart... Be cool!" kind of nonsense. It's infuriating.

Great phone for the price. If your in the ballpark for a new phone with alot of features and into social media and music for $199 this is a steal.

For an honest and great review on the phone look at:

Also this phone will get Android N sometime in Late October according to Nextbit.

for $200, this is way better than the lousy constructed Nexus 5x.

edit : lots of people reply me, saying nexus 5x is not bad construted.

OK, cool, you are right. it is not bad constructed. it is a well constructed cheap-plastic phone with an outdated design.

if I need to choose between this two, I would always go for the nextbit, for its better design, more RAM, more storage (32GB),front facing speakers, and cloudy storage .

I know nextbit has software bugs, so does nexus 5x. I would say nexus 5x probably suffers more.

anyway, I am not trying to convince anyone. and I love people have different ideas than mine. hope it helps some buyers make a more reasonable decision.

What's bad about the 5x, no issues here with construction.

Sounds like a few software engineers got together to make a phone without consulting any hardware engineers first.
