THIS "TV" is a TV & therefore has an OTA - Tuner built in. - and it comes WITH a remote control.
People are confusing this Model - E55-D0 OVER & OVER with another similar Model despite numerous corrections in the thread.

The TV in this deal (although unfortunately NOT listed in the OPs post has an OTA tuner as all "TVs" sold in the U.S. MUST. It is the Model:
Vizio E55-D0 - A 1080P TV w/ an OTA TV Tuner BUILT-IN ---> and a remote control
http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/...1080p-2016

People are confusing it with the:
Vizio E55U-D0 - A "4K" "DISPLAY" (They call it a Home Theater Display) - LEGALLY, because they cannot call it a "TV" unless it has a ATSC OTA TV Tuner included.

I have negative experience with rebates, not SD, but rebates in general. I think it is a gimic to make consumers think they are saving money but then businesses expect consumers not to submit the rebate and even if they do, the business can still use the rebate process to delay, withhold, or ignore these consumer savings. If it is not an immediate rebate then it is a crap shoot.
She was rude to say that, but I wouldn't insinuate someone is stupid because they worked in a call center, that's a really false assumption. I work in a call center because it's a great company and I can't handle very stressful jobs. You might consider escalating the call next time to a supervisor or management. Sorry they were rude, that was uncalled for.
You are indeed wrong lol

rebate = fail

I would rather have the coupon from dell. i have more faith in that than a slickdeal rebate.

i have filled out about 100 of them over the last 4 years and received them all except for one in which i bought the wrong item. I still remember that one rebate that got away, but for the most part they are reliable.

I'd take a SD rebate over a Dell eGift card any day...especially since the Dell eGift cards are so large to get to the deal price. Have done 3 Dell/SD rebates, and no problems.

I agree. I did the Home Depot paint rebate, as I do every Memorial Day. And they rejected it. It was for 3 - 10$ rebates on 3 separate gallons of paint. I was so mad when the representative said "you should have followed the directions properly." I yelled at her saying "I'm not the one sitting in a call center; who's really the idiot here?" She hung up on me and I'm still annoyed about the 30$.

I have never once done a mail in rebate. Slickdeals emailed me a few times about my rebate of $100 a while back from hp on beats headphones. I said screw it and mailed it and got the full refund. I was actually impressed. They don't fark around

This is the same "tv" that SAMs had for basically the same price a couple weeks ago. I got the last one at my local SAMs club.
