Why stop at one?

I have two .357 Magnum revolvers (one single action and double action).

Both are lots of fun to shoot...

Glocks are nice but this is a solid steel revolver.
Apples to oranges IMO.

nice. yeah the only way i would own a S&W revolver now would be to buy one of the old ones. the new revolvers that S&W is pumping out, are flat out inferior to the old ones and it's a crying shame when you think about it. the S&W forums are lit up with people and photos of brand new revolvers (even their flagship 686) out of the box with finish issues, nicks, and out of spec cylinder gaps. it's atrocious. i'm glad that i have an older S&W revolver - one of those older 642's prior to that stupid trigger lock that S&W is putting on all of their firearms now to boost the profits of their parent company. i guess all good things eventually come to an end.

off topic of this thread but on topic of revolvers. Ruger said they will be releasing a Ruger LCRX 3" 22LR sometime in the near future, with the announcement coming later in the year for production starting next year

crude and ugly, yes...but at least made properly. i wouldn't go near a new S&W revolver today with the horrendous quality coming from the factory. only way i would consider buying another S&W would be to buy one of the old ones

The question was why you only have one 357 magnum "Why stop at one?"

My answer was Glock.

I think the OP posted a very nice deal.

Oh, I completely agree on the vintage vs. today's S&W point - their cost-cutting steps with their revolvers (plus the stupid lock) have seriously undermined the brand.

it's really a shame when you think about it...and that stupid lock makes it even worse. i remember when the lock first started to go on the guns and people were complaining that on some of the smaller revolvers (ie the 642/442) that the lock would actually engage by itself after shooting + P's . i don't know what ever came of it and if they ever found out what the root cause was. perhaps the lock was partially engaged from the factory by accident, and nudged itself into lock mode after a few dozen rounds out of the box
