EUROPEAN ENTER KEY

Don't say we didn't warn you. If you are not used to the European style enter key, you will have alot of trouble using this keyboard.

Warning: this keyboard sucks ass. I bought one after reading so many slickdealers swear that a mechanical keyboard was a significant improvement (they're not). Enter key placement is awkward, it doesn't feel good, the backlight is annoying, and it's loud. i prefer my $10 Microsoft keyboard. I just shipped mine back and lost $14.

Yes, yes they are, thats what you get when you spend 39.99 on a cheap keyboard with cherry clones. Did you even do any research about switches?

I did. I researched blue, brown, and red. I hated the feel of them and knew they would make a clicky sound, but I needed to hear and feel it for myself. The clones are close enough to cherry red not to matter. It's all marketing. I vastly prefer my $10 keyboard, and the mechanical red made me slower if anything. I'm not alone: http://www.pcgamesn.com/mechanica...o-anything

Sounds like he's not even into mechanical keyboards altogether - Cherry or IBM Model M wouldn't have changed that.

Some complaints about not being real gateron switches. Looks like they must have taken that out of the description. Honestly wouldn't jump unless it has cherrys, gateron or some other well known brand.

I'd try one of these out if it wasn't for the weird enter key.

I bought one a few weeks ago with red switches and I'm returning it. I can't get used to the return key. I keep adding a "\" to everything I type. The keys also sit very high with a lot of travel. Coming from a chiclet keyboard, it's a hard adjustment.
I'm saving up for a Logitech G810, I think the romer-G switches are what I need. Volume control is also nice to have.

That's the first time I have heard of someone trying mechanical switches and going back to rubber dome. I love my mechs! I have some that are Cherry, a couple Kailh, and a Gateron and I love them all.

I have this and while I like the "clickyness" the keyboard itself is hard to type on. Like learning to type all over again. Oh well..

I was looking at replacing my keyboard a month or two back and the enter key placement was what killed this and similar keyboards for me. As far as the mechanical thing, it's a matter of preference. I ended up getting one of these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1 They're only $10 right now and, while not mechanical, I'm very happy with it considering the price.

Seems like this might be worth a try at this price for anyone even vaguely considering a mechanical keyboard. Whether it is an improvement is a matter of opinion.

My Filco Blue is by far the best typing experience I have ever had. Quite frankly it's just short of orgasmic.

Picked up several Browns to appease others in the room (Blues are very loud). They are all passable, but I've never loved them. The quality also differs between brands, even using the same switch.

At this price I really want to try out the Red. Filco costs upwards of $150, so it's harder to justify trying a new switch from them.
