hello all,

I didn't see this posted so I thought I would share.

https://jet.com/product/GEFORCE-G...35693c7a74 - OOS

comes out to about $236 when you opt out of free returns and use a debit card with promo code triple15 happy hunting!

if the price changes on that one, there is also this one for $255 with promo code triple15 and waiving free returns paying with debit card:

This is a good deal. I bought one. Also note that these are the Newer/Latest version of Gigabyte 1060. Newegg had a sale just like this one couple days ago, however, they were getting rid of the older version of the Gigabyte GTX 1060.

Bought the original GTX 1060 Gigabyte (D5 G6 model) on launch week. Noticed Newegg no longer selling them. Holy moly coil whine. Annoying as ever!

*Edit so further research between the launch week cards and the new Windforce OC cards:
-> Higher factory OC on Windforce vs. original base reference clock speeds on D5 G6
-> 6 pin (Windforce) vs. 8pin (Original D5 G6)
-> No LED RGB control on Windforce, but there is on D5 G6 model cards
-> 4+1 phase power on Windforce vs. 6+1 phase on D5 G6
-> Overall length shorter on Windforce vs Original D5 G6

Gigabyte Released a new GTX 1060, that has newer bios, and about 50 mhz oc speed. It also has a different design on the fans and stuff.

Can't find many reviews on this. Is that whine noise not in this version/model?

Is it the new models with 3GB that you're talking about?

This one is the new version. The older version I was talking about is this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?sdtid=9026791&SID=957c6bd8664211e6b3441abe3436e5df0INT&AI... [newegg.com]

How are you sure? I don't see specific model number info in the listing

I bought this deal a few hours ago, but now I'm concerned that it's the model with the known issue. And of course I can't return if I'm not satisfied because I chose to get it for a few bucks cheaper...

I'm pretty sure there isn't any issue with the old one. This is the newer one because it has 50 mhz ish more speed on OC. Plus the fan layout and stuff is different. If you bought from Jet, You've got the newer one.
