Seems like a solid deal - I bought one.
The 17.3" screen and 1600x900 resolution works for me, but I guess I don't watch a lot of HD video where I need 1080p.

This laptop has a 2" bigger screen and will be larger overall, has a faster processor (but negligibly), same ram, half as big of hard drive (id swap out for an SSD anyways though), slightly better integrated graphics, and is $30 more.

I would get this laptop if want a bigger laptop or the smaller laptop if you want a swap smaller laptop.
