Best Buy & Amazon have Star Trek: The Compendium for $12.

This is a 4-disc Blu-ray set that includes both of the new movies and lots of bonus content.

You'll enjoy it, the new Star Trek movies are really good.

Star Trek (2009) came with a 2nd disc with tons of extras.

Into Darkness (2013) had four or so retailer exclusives with bonus content scattered around. The regular Blu-rays of Into Darkness (and the 3D version) are cropped to widescreen the whole time. Into Darkness in this compendium has the expanded full screen 'IMAX' sequences and a 2nd disc with all the retailer exclusives and more in one spot.

Great for those who didn't catch it for $9 from Target in June 2015...

Finally used my $10 Discover promotional credit on this from Amazon.

I already own both movies from original releases (3D Target version of Into Darkness) and hate double dipping but really, really, REALLY wanted the Imax w/commentary and extras on Into Darkness that make the Compendium so appealing.

Sure, why not. Thanks OP. I haven't seen either of these yet. Hopefully it will come with a digital copy...

Was not this version the one they offered after the backlash from customers BC to get all the bonus content for the 2009 movie you had to buy what seemed like 14 different versions?

Correct. I sold my compendium for the 4K movies when they came out but the two 4K movies are 60 bucks together. (The 4K set comes with the exact same compendium discs, plus a 4K disc, btw)

I should get this even though they'll release another set with the latest movie later.

WinDVD Pro used to go on sale every so often but haven't seen one since last year:

You can either spend the $50 retail for the software or just stream the UV as the other poster mentioned.
