Seeking advice: Is this a good deal on Subaru Impreza 2016?

I got a quote from my local dealer for 2016 Subaru Impreza Wagon 5dr CVT 2.0i.
MSRP: $20,752
Quoted price: $19,754 (excludes sales tax and fees)

I checked it out on truecar, and their quote was actually about the same. I haven't seen many deals on Subaru, so I'm guessing this might be as good as it gets, but I'd love to hear if anyone thinks I can do better.

Feedback & Tips much appreciated!

Thank you,

you can probably do better. if thats the quote you can get from truecar, i imagine you can do better. Truecar is for those who do not want to negotiate. Find a non truecar subaru dealer, and have them beat truecars quote. pretty simple.

#3 will show you what the low and high end for a new car. make sure you start a bidding war between your local dealerships, INSIST that they email you a FULL QUOTE, not something just typed out in an email.

Once you get the best deal, secure you financing before stepping foot on the lot, once you have your quote and secured financing go on the lot, make sure that the quote you got in the email matches your contracted price EXACTLY do not add on any extras, good luck.

re-read your post, you should definitely be getting UNDER the true car price, the true car price is the average, a good deal would obviously be below the average

Where are you located? Make sure to check local Subaru clubs and maybe you will be able to connect with a local Amabassador that still has $500 coupons.
