Harbor Freight is having a decent sale from Aug 19-21. It's on the front page of their website, but there's actually a lot more on sale.

http://www.harborfreight.com/

I got the 3-Ton Floor Jack (not the low-profile version) for $68.88, which is pretty decent, especially since you can't use coupons on it. Lots of stock in the Seattle one. I may upgrade to the low-profile one when there's an SD on it for $75 or $80.

There's also the 6" Variable Speed Dual Action Polisher for $50 that people buy if they don't want to shell out for the Porter Cable. Though you might be able to get it for lower when they have their 25% off coupons.

Basically, worth checking out for things where coupons can't usually be applied like floor jacks, automotive lifts, cabinets, etc.

And don't forget your free item. I've been loading up on Clear Stacking bins since these rarely come up. Coupon code: 60325919. (At my HF, you can just give them the code and they'll enter it in manually).
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

been eyeing that DA polisher for some time now. Even with a 20% coupon, its good. I think $40 is probably the cheapest you'll get it since its at $50 right now. Thank you, gonna grab it tmrw, Just need a coupon.

The percent off coupons usually have many exclusions, which include parking lot sales. Read the fine print.

Item# 62584 is the highest lift range and they have it in my local store, thinking about getting one but not sure I can lift $74 lbs to load in my car or not. Shipping would be extremely high.

Yeah the 20% might not work, but it's always worth playing dumb and trying. The real gem with these parking lot sales are the open box items that are like 50% off if you play your cards right.

I've seen chicks as mechanics only in movies, Fast & Furious for one, but never seen one in real life though. I'm just old, still have a lot of years to retire, and my back is not that good as before. About 10 years ago, carrying 100 lbs was not a problem.

Just checked the shipping cost and it's only $6.99 to my house (not expecting that low) so I guess I'll order one. Just feel bad for the delivery guy.

i've seen a few. And at UTI, there are always many studying to become techs.

Anyways, they'll load it into your car. Maybe a neighbor or someone at home can help you lift it out. Sorry about your back issues. I know how that can be.

there are some easy mods you can do on it to make it better. I remember reading about it, and seeing a video on youtube. I'm sure it will come up with a quick google. One of the major complaints was that the backing pad eats up the polishing pads due to the velcro. Another was the spin...or jerky spin of it. Another the trigger.

Those issues were fixable via mods. One was a 'countersink' I think it was called, or some weight thingamajig that even out the distribution of the spin IIRC. I forget the others. Anyways, gonna grab mine tomorrow hopefully.

oh man, awesome...even better, thank you

gonna google around to see if the polishing pads are good, or if another brand like meguiars are "much" better. Hoping the HF brands are not too cheapy cheapy.
