Thread Details

Sears has the 9 piece flare nut wrench set [sears.com] for $27.99. That's a pretty good price for flare nut wrenches already. What's even better is that it's not labeled as a 'hot buy'. So you can use any surprise points or coupons you might have.

I also bought 2 sets of 12 slot wrench organizer [sears.com] for $5 each. Then I applied a $8 surprise points with $35 purchase (YMMV).

There is also a instant $5 SYW points Doorbuster game (YMMV) inthis thread.

I see one of the reviews says these are not the full polish wrenches pictured. That so?

I don't know yet. I just ordered it to be shipped to my house.

There is a review from 5/4/2016 saying it's full polished though.

My surprise points were $5 off $20, so I didn't really need the storage rack.

Due to the recent points rolling on other items, my total out-of-pocket was $1.60.

Up-voted the OP.

I have a feeling these will go lower in price. 30% off ain't bad, but I'll wait for 50% , and then use a coupon/points. Will set an alert due to this thread though. Thanks op.

I just received mine and it's full polished. Made in China but it feels well made in hand.

OP, the flare nut wrenches do not fit the wrench organizer.

I guess I will use it for other wrenches.

Hm. what do you mean? I fit mine in there without any issues. Though I ignored the size markings on the wrench organizer and combined both metric and sae sizes together since I won't be using the flare wrenches that often. I don't bother with matching the size marking on the organizer because it will be much easier to just read the sizes off the wrench itself than off the organizer.

I tried the big 19mm. Does it bend the tabs for you?

Ah. I do remember having a slight bend to fit the biggest one. It didn't feel like it was very significant though.

I just thought of something. If you move all of the wrenches one slot down (to a less wide slot), then you should be able to fit all of the wrenches without bending the tabs.
