great deal on a gaming laptop, if you don't want to wait for 1070

This seems to be pretty solid at first glance, but I wish it had a 1070.

I understand but the price is extremely amazing for 970M 6gb at $950.
1070 is now $1400 plus.

1070 in laptop is too expensive now in market.
Maybe will drop on Black Friday

Pascal technology has made all gaming laptops pre-Pascal obsolete. I'd rather wait 6 months and get a Pascal GPU in February for the same price.

If I couldn't wait then I'd shell out the extra money now.

This is the issue. I'm not sure I can jump on any of these 9 series card deals because the 10 series just performs so much better. like you said, even the 1060m blows 9 series out of the water.

How is this laptop compared to Asus Rog g752vy ? I am waiting on prices on rig to come down. Other than the config how is the build on cyberpower laptops ?

I've got a Rog g751 w/Gtx 980m - it's heavy, but it's rugged and very solid. Thing is a tank.

Agreed on the wait 6 months if you can, however as far as obsolete on pre-pascal I say "Razer Core". I'd recommend getting any high performance laptop with thunderbolt / usb 3.1 and the future is open to adding desktop class GPU down the line with a Graphics Amplifier--with most of the performance!

It could be more than 1 year wait until 1070 price down to $1000 level.
Other than that 1070 is pretty good at $1500 budget.
