This is my first post, and it is posted from my android phone app. I don't know how to upload the picture, so please don't blame me.

I do blame you for not using a little common sense. These new seller, overseas scam listings (jumping on high demand "Best Sellers") have been posted and discussed multiple times.

There's no "price mistake" or "error". Their sole purpose is data mining for verified billing information and telephone numbers.

Your "purchase" is not what they want.

It's your contact data with the hopes of gaining more (juicy) personal info via email/fake telephone phishing scams, etc.

Same exact pattern (new seller, overseas, mostly only selling "Best Sellers" all "incorrectly" priced) seen time and time again.

Not if "you" were able to cancel it...since the seller doesn't get any info until around ~ 30 minutes after initial order placement.

You'll know when it's past due since it wouldn't allow you to cancel...but instead instruct you to contact the seller to cancel.

Unless you can afford to fork out thousands of dollars to give Amazon, good luck. This is the direction Amazon is looking at to compete head to head with Alibaba. Amazon will do anything to have sellers sell on their site. Saying no or heavy policing will turn these sellers to Ebay or Alibaba, not in Amazon's interest. Give it a few years and Amazon turn into a similar site like those selling cheap Chinese made stuff.

Not a problem.

Hopefully more people here will understand that not every Amazon/eBay "listing error" is being done by honest "mistake" and all these scammers are doing is purposely playing on their nonsensical greed and wishful thinking.

Thank you for pointing this out. I wanted to ask if really new sellers fulfilled by amazon would also have intentions of data mining.

Not usually. Their games are usually to just falsely bump their products to "Best Seller" status and then quickly contact Amazon to cancel all pending orders under the false pretend it was all a "mistake".

Minus the small handful that may ship (which in the big picture they couldn't care less about)....their product page still keeps the "Best Seller" status and looks like it's some "hot selling item" to future customers browsing their site.

They are fully aware...this product status/title (in terms of future sales for them) means exponential more than a couple of shipped orders that slipped thru.
