$1,499.00

Thread Details

Next week's Best Buy flyer lists the Samsung 60" for $1,499, a $500 savings and a $400 reduction from the current price ($1,899) on their web site.

I checked and Costco, HH Gregg and Amazon are also around $1,899. Video and Audio Center, which sells through Amazon is at $1,497, and may have jumped the gun on a price reduction, which may go into effect tomorrow.

Interestingly, Costco's sale price of $1,879, $200 off, is good through today, August 20. If the price of this set is being reduced by Samsung they may reduce it tomorrow.

For what it is worth, I am actually interested in the 65" version, which has been $100 more than the 60". The spread has now widened to $500. Costco's price on the 65" ($1,979) is good through next Saturday, 8/27. These sets seem to be coming down, and I wonder if the 65" will be reduced next Sunday
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Hoping the 55 comes down as well. I've got a bunch of BB points and gift cards to use.

Next week's Best Buy flyer lists the 55" at $1,399, same as the current price.

For what it is worth, Costco also has it for $1,379, ending August 27. Maybe it will come down next Sunday. We may have a better feel for this when we see what happens to the 60" tomorrow at Costco, Amazon, HH Gregg, etc.

Yes I saw that. When I say I have points and gift cards to use at BB, I'm talking over $600 worth, so gotta hold out for a lower price at BB. Hoping that ebay sale, along with this one, is the sign of an upcoming trend. Smilie

Also at Amazon [amazon.com]

Both BB and Amazon also have the 49" down to $1200. Need more price drops.

Think I'm gonna pick this bad boy up tomorrow. It'll probably be cheaper in a month or two but I'm done waiting, really want it for the start of the football season.

I get it in the Sunday newspaper (they delivered it with Saturday's paper this week). They probably also have it online once it goes live.

This doesn't seem to be getting nearly as much as attention as the 55" version via eBay, yet you could probably price match to your preferred store because it's Amazon & Best Buy. Am I missing something here? Isn't this the cheapest this has ever been?

My guess would be the price. The higher it gets, the less people there are looking in the price range. And people that are in this price range may also be looking for something bigger than a 60". That being said, this is definitely a good deal for a well rated TV.

$1099 is a decent price for this set already, why not just PM @ BB?

I agree, and if they were on the PM list, I would have already. I may still give it a shot tomorrow at lunch, but I wasn't rushing over during a busy weekend to attempt a price match of an eBay deal.
