Car Renting Enterprise, Avis, Hertz, Budget?

KiraOfTheSky 537 42 August 20, 2016 at 01:32 PM
I need a SUV from 25th to 29th and pick-up and drop-off time is before 1:00PM. Enterprise price got low as 130.00 total! but suddenly it disappeared from my page and went up to $250.00. So far I see Budget price is $188.03 for SUV, anyone got any cheaper deal?

Went through Costcotravel and got SUV(Ford Escape Style) down to $172 and I got Hertz SUV (Jeep Compass) down to $150. Any cheaper? Should I trust a Compass or a Escape? Heading from Ohio to Toronto

A couple of places to look for additional discounts would be your insurance company and any credit cards you may have.
Given the choice between a Compass and Escape I would choose the Escape but it may not be worth the additional cost.

If you select an off airport rental location you avoid the airport taxes which are hurrendous. Usually that is Enterprise because the other companies are only at the airport. Budget is sometimes at Sears and Walmart I believe.

My recent rentals had much lower prices when booked noon or after. 10am went up $100+

I booked my last one using my 5/3 points. 1/2 the points compared to the other cards
