I just bought the 65 version of this and while I dont know if it's better I read that this is more future proof then the Samsung.

I'm having the same dilemma w/ the KS8000 (same TV w/ flat panel) currently at the same price point (see link).

2016 Vizio P series has the highest static contrast(except for the 55" IPS panel), best local dimming and best all around picture of ANY 4K LED. The Vizio R series and the Sony Z series beats it in picture quality, but not enough to justify the insane price difference. At those prices, OLED is the way to go.

If you buy a 4K, HDR and DV, display and don't have a sound system setup: YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG

Agreed, it was meant to be for newbies who think an expensive tv comes with great sound too, your point well noted! Thanks

Edit: would you also buy a SOUND SYSTEM WITH THE LG OLED LINE OF TV THAT COME WITH GOOD SOUND BAR? Mayb not.

I would NEVER buy a TV with a built in sound bar

I guess it depends on who's doing the reviewing. Some edge out the Samsung, others the Vizio. Personally, 55" is the max for my space, which finds me dealing w/ an IPS display on the Vizio front. So for my purposes, I think the Sammy's going to edge out the Vizio.

If you can hold out, the 55EF9500 4K OLED should be about $1300. I'd wait for that
