For those who, like myself, missed the $399 deal at Best Buy on these, this may be the next best thing.... Amazon has the HP Spectre X2 12-a008nr 12" Detachable Laptop for $465 eligible for Prime shipping... The price is similar to those for refurbished ones, but this certainly looks like new one... Unfortunately, just a few left in stock...

Incorrect price in title. $65 =/= $465.

This is such a retarded post. That's like saying Lambo > Mercedes > Kia.

But outside of the SP4 unbelievably expensive price, the other 3 are in the same price range. I rather be a retard than stupid. Did you even think?

why the thumbs down? There is no tax for me and that makes it a $30 difference from the Best Buy deal.

I have read the Spectre X2 is better than the Miix 700. Can you expand on why you think the Miix 700 is better? Cheers!

Spectre x2 deal came several times here for pre-order when it first released. I got in on of those deal. I feel that the Spectre x2 fail as a tablet because it's heavy and uncomfortable to hold.

I don't know if it's the combine of all around metal surface and round edges design, but it's feel heavier and slippery to me to hold compare to the Surface 3 I had at the time. It doesn't matter if they're the same weight or even heavier. The design also matter in how it feel in your hand. Example, go to the Apple Store and hold both 13" Macbook Pro/Air and 15" Macbook Pro flat on each hand. You can barely notice the weight differences.

On the pro side, the x2 shines in the keyboard but I don't use a keyboard with tablet. That's why I didn't deduct point for the Miix here. They both gave away free KB vs the Surface. They both also have weak battery and suffer from heat over long use, but it's what you give up for fanless. The x2 does feel much hotter.

Miix Pro:
* I just like how the Miix feel in your hand. Very similar feel to the Surface. The build does feel a little flimsier but I like that it's easy to open and maintain. You can easily upgrade HD, fix screen or battery.
* I like the flexibility of the hinges that allow me to place anywhere.
* I like the extra micro-hdmi port to output when I need it in a meeting.

Thanks so much for this reply.

I am going to be using the X2 mainly for note taking in class (with a stylus and keyboard). When I will be using the tablet mode for the X2, it will most likely be laying down flat on the table.

The deciding factor really came down to price. I was able to get the Spectre X2 at $399, while the SP4/Surface 3 are both more expensive.
