Yep, crappy CPU. The Celeron 3215U variant is better.

I have this laptop from a previous meh deal. It's plenty fast for running full screen HD and having multiple facebook and email tabs open simultaneously. Pretty much all I want/need in a secondary laptop(for me).
People can go on and on about the processor not being good but they are looking at benchmarks, not real life performance. This is Chrome OS, doesn't need much to just run a browser. This is a steal for 160, the screen is every bit as good as a Macbook Air. Thumbs up, will be front page soon.

Totally agree here. I bought one used for $100 and was one of the best deals I ever got. It does everything I expect out of a Chromebook (not a full blown laptop) and the screen is beautiful which is not something you can say about most chromebooks. The only thing I wish was different about this model is that the keyboard was backlit.

I wish that too, but honestly for 100-160.00 it cant be beat. You could always buy the newer model for twice the price to get the backlit keyboard Wink

When should updated unit start showing up? Am considering this, but wonder if the lack of a touch will end up being a significant drawback in the coming months?

Do they have a firm date yet on that rollout? It seems like it's been in the wind forever.

No idea, still a "late 2016-2017" timeframe. Chromebook Flip is the way to go for immediate app compatibility.
