you can leave it in and use as a slow storage drive.

it's not anywhere close to a ssd drive though, so don't expect that.

Looking at cached pages, seems like the normal price for this is $59.99, so this is definitely a good drop in price.

It's a pretty good price. The price was $33 last month for the 128 GB model and then ~$58 for the 200 GB. Flash memory prices might be going up slightly due to supply restrictions.

If you're willing to use up the SD slot, just put this in an adapter and leave it in. That's what I do on all my laptops and it works fine. On the rare occasions I actually need the slot for photos, etc, I just eject the drive before removing, copy photos, and then put it back in.

~16 MB/s write, so on the slow side. Still, the $/Gb is great for a SanDisk MicroSD this size. TU

Does anyone have a good resource to compare the reliability of these? I'm wondering how it compares to the Samsung Evo+, PNY Elite, Lexar 633x. I've been leaning towards the Samsung Evo+ but not sure. These are all in the 35-40 range and I haven't filled the space I have, so I've got time.

I bought mine in Nov 2015 from Amazon. It just started giving write errors last week and completely stopped working. I emailed Amazon customer service and they gave a full refund for it. It lasted approximately 9-10 months.
