Heh. I bought generic canned salmon a few months back. Was not expecting the bones. They are edible, and are a great source of calcium, but if you didn't grow up eating them it's gonna be quite an acquired texture/taste.

But in any case, this price comes out to $5/lb, if i calculated correctly. Not exactly a great price but if you care about non-GMO and such, maybe.

If you really want some low-mercury canned fish for cheap, buy some Kirkland brand Skipjack tuna in bulk off Jet.com or similar. Got a bunch of canned chicken and tuna together last week for both under $2/lb

What about the skin part? I think I've had some sorta fish with edible bones, wasn't bad.

Any tips on how to remove the bones? Or at least the bigger ones? I love salmon and the skin, but the bones I can't really do that much lol

I usually just grab a pair of tweezers...spread it all out on the table and start picking...usually only takes 4 hrs.
