P is much better TV and more future proof as well. Double number of zones and 10 bit support.

Then again P doesn't come in 70" and it's 65" ($2k) or 75" ($3.8k).

Seeing a lot of M-series love around here lately. Is it that much of a better deal compared to the P-series?

Its a huge step up from the last years model, and more comparable to the P-series, which is why I will go with the M70 for the like 16% increase in screen size for the same ~$2K

Dell does have price match...so maybe you can still get it for $1749 with the gift card...you would have to try

Depends on the person. If you're all about max quality, you'll want the P-series. If you want a big-ass TV that still looks great, just not as good as the P-series, get this. A lot of people jumped ship from the 2015 M-series to the 2016 P-series because of the quality difference. Not very many made the same jump to the 2016 M-series, because they're waiting the the p-series price to drop to get it.

I initially did this but the picture quality on the p-series was much more of an upgrade I couldn't overlook. Ended up returning the p-series for the p.

For gaming I reduce the resolution to 1080p and it's really fast without any shearing or artifacts.
