This is the regular price. It's this same price directly from MP. It's cheaper from Jet.

For what it's worth, this is the standard price at Monoprice but the Amazon price fluctuates higher often. Monoprice is usually out of stock on their printers and Amazon appears to get stocked quicker/more frequent than Monoprice. Probably something in their vendor contract, I would guess.

Ah... no. MP gets it first. They are the "maker" after all. They have to get them first before Amazon can get any. The difference is that MP stops sales when they run out. Amazon will keep on taking backorders. If you live in a Amazon sales tax area, there's absolutely no reason to buy from Amazon versus MP since MP is a little squirely with tech support/warranty if you don't buy it from them.

My observations are purely anecdotal since they won't let me read their contract lol. But I wanted a Select v2 and tracked Amazon and MP every day for a month, even after finally purchasing. Amazon went in and out of stock twice while MP never went in stock or sent me an alert. Even now, Amazon has it Prime where MP has pushed back their "back in stock" date for at least the third time. My guess is they have outstanding orders with Amazon to fulfill before they can put any for sale on their own website. Must be a bottleneck somewhere in the supply.
It hurt but I ate the tax because Amazon had it in stock. For me, $30 was worth the work I could get out of it in the last month or so. Speaking for the Select, great printer that would have been awesome to get at $270 but still totally worth it at $349.
