Ink as a service.

Any SDer who prints a respectable number of pages has switched to laser with cheap 3rd party refills.

Cant really beat free. I have been using their free 6 months since January, no payment, advertisement to the mailbox etc. Just straight free and good quality ink to the mail box. Just ran out and decide to do some digging and this comes up. Just cancel when your 3 months are up.

Do you have to go through the steps in link 3 to get a claim code? Or you can just skip that entirely?

If you don't go through the steps to get the claim code, then will they just automatically send a certain amount of ink per month?

I actually did it a while back so i have everything set up (my old printer). THe claim code is usually in the package of the printer you buy, thou i doubt anyone keeps that, so the link is there simply to help users from the previous thread to find the claim code. I dont think it is that hard to follow the instruction of the site.

For getting the claim code on my printer, I had to press the button on the bottom left of the screen. It's a button for internet connectivity, or something like that. Then, there was a button to "print info."

In looking at the sticker on the printer, there was an offer for 1 month free. But, obviously not worth the hassle/ risk of losing this offer to try to capitalize on that, too.

Thanks, OP & repped. I was regretting buying this printer a couple times because my old printer technically wasn't broken it was just really a pain in the neck. (I am a magnet for printer problems.) Also, there were a lot of deals on printers in the last couple of months.

Yeah, they are just mkaing sure that they have your printer's wireless ID so that only the ink they sent works there, so you dont milk the offer. I was curious because after i canncelled my subsription when the 6-free-months were up, and just wanted to extended the free ink. It is page specific so keeps that in mind. During the course of 6 months i got 1 big black one that is almost empty and 2 colored ones, free of course Smilie

so if you have a little left over ink when the offer ends, can you use it?

When you get your first shipment, do you take out the current cartridge and put theirs in?

Yeah when there is ink left and the offer ends, the inks are invalid. Just take your regular inks out and use theirs. It took 5 days to ship for me.
