Price for me today is $143.61, less $20 for $123.61 before tax. Good deal in my book for two drivers with great reviews on Amazon. Thanks and repped.

That impact driver seems alright. The spec says it has 1495 in/lb of torque which is ~125 ft/lb, which would be enough to TAKE OFF the lug nuts on a typical car. (never use an impact to install lug nuts -- always use a hand torque wrench)

Now is there enough juice in the battery to do it at least 20 times (4 wheels x 5 lug nuts per wheel)? Who knows.

I saw a better deal at Lowes on a 2 PC set. Lowes cpn code and a Cashback site used may beat this deal at Amazon. Do your, research

How? Did you buy lowes at first and then they made adjustment of do they make price match first? It'd be awesome if they then accepted coupon for even lower price...

Thanks for the tip! I was also able to let Lowes price match PLUS knock off an additional 10% via their price match policy. So I got it for $118 shipped with CA tax (8%). Also, if you have a Discover card, its 5% cashback right now.

Dont care what anyone else says, this is an awesome deal. People who said it was cheaper, are probably talking about the other budget model that looks similar to this one. For a regular DIYer, this is a great set.

Most likely you can take the receipt to store and ask them to apply the 10% coupon as well... You usually have 30 days to do that after purchase.

I'm just undecided between this set and a Dewalt one at Sears with swy points which I could then use to buy 3ah batteries

I have these and they are the best quality porter cable makes, overall I'm happy and they are right up there with my rigid tools. I think the warranty is only 3-5 yrs

I bought 4ah 3rd party batteries for $40ea as well

I've had this kit for 2 years and it has been used heavily. Both are holding up very well. The little impact is impressive and it is my go to tool for screws and lag bolts- I even use it in place of an air impact on small fasteners. This little impact works wonders if you ever need to put lag bolts in. No more ratchet to turn them in by hand...just zip and they're in almost as fast as a regular screw. Although according to the specs it may be rated high enough to take off lug nuts I wouldn't push it quite that far. It's a great tool but that's asking a lot from a small tool.

I have also used the cheaper version and this drill is significantly better. The chuck is better and the variable speed with the trigger works better. My kit also came with a faster charger and red batteries vs black...I assume this one does also. It's all around a much better kit than the cheaper version.

I'm wanting to say I paid around $170 for the kit 2 years ago and felt that it was a good kit for the money at that price.

I liked this kit so much I also picked up the circular saw, reciprocating saw and oscillating tool as bare tools for $30-50 each via eBay and Amazon Warehouse deals last winter. I was going to purchase the 4.0 batteries but this set has a quick charger and it charges a battery in about the same time it takes to drain one with the drill or impact. I may still purchase them at some point but haven't really felt the need other than for the circular saw. It can drain a battery pretty quick.
