They can both be accurate. Rimfire is limited to smaller cartridges and generally doesn't make as good of a self defense round. However, if you are looking for cheap target shooting rimfire might be better. There are plenty of sources on the Internet. There are also plenty of debate about which centerfire cartridge is best.

Yup... you can get guns more accurate than the shooter in either....For target shooting a 22LR will be significantly cheaper to practice with than anything centerfire....(and a LOT cheaper if planning to use a slidefire stock or something)- rimfire being smaller rounds will have less recoil than centerfire rounds generally, allowing for quicker follow up shots- but significantly less powerful ones of course.

On the other hand you can reload most centerfire rounds, including being able to design your own specific loads, which isn't true of rimfire. And there's more guns overall that shoot centerfire rounds.... (some of which have kits that let you convert them to shoot rimfire BTW though it's usually at least as cheap to just buy a comparable whole rimfire gun)

What gives a better experience will vary greatly from one person to the next and what they're wanting to do exactly.

It's a 9mm pistol. Fires the 9mm parabellum cartridge (9mm luger same thing) which is a centerfire cartridge. Centerfire with the primer being in the center of the base. You want this for defense because centerfire is considered to be more reliable than rimfire which is also typically much less powerful.

If you want to save money practicing shooting then get a pistol (or rifle) that shoots a .22 LR (long rifle) rimfire cartridge.

If you want a self defense gun for your home this one fits the bill nicely. It is high capacity (17+1), very reliable, relatively cheap in it's class, and the manufacturer has an excellent warranty and service. That being said, I've seen it a little cheaper but only during holiday sales.

Completely different gun.

It's be a bit like asking how a deal on a miata compares to a deal on a corolla
