that's a huuuge battery. these can work for black and decker products if you do a small hardware modification

edit: I was wrong.

I was just thinking that I could use these for the B&d tools I have. most of my batteries are 2amp with one 4amp. This 5amp should run for quite a while

Where can I find info on the mod? I have a few Dewalt 20v batteries and Black and Decker 20v. The black and decker charger died so it'd be nice to be able to charge those batteries with my Dewalt charger and/or use Dewalt batteries on my BD string trimmer.

Those low star reviews have me skeptical. In my experience in buying replacement off brand batteries for my roomba, they don't last even close to as long as the originals.

Wondering if I should bite on this. I have a ton of black and decker and porter cable tools. Unfortunately since I dont have any newer dewalt tools, I have no way to test before voiding the warranty when modding.

Well, maybe Ill throw them on my hobby charger and verify the discharge capacity before modding.

saw it on YouTube personally. basically there's a notch on the left or right side, and you just have to put that on there and they will work. I'll see if I can find the video

Yeah I saw that for the porter cable and black and decker but my Dewalt batteries are completely different. Just looked at them.

I think you might be right, looking at the BD and PC batteries they only have 4 pin connectors, while the dewalt battery has 5. Perhaps either this line of batteries is not cross compatible, or perhaps its just incorrect info floating out on the interwebs. I cancelled my order, as I'm pretty sure they wont fit. Too bad.

two dewalt 4ah are 106 shipped on ebay. i'm very skeptical about these batteries. i'd put money the dewalt 4a holds more charge than these 5a ones are definitely better build quality. not worth the difference imo.

you are right I remembered incorrectly. PC can be modded to work with B&D 20v. dewalt is different.

Read a few posts down. Seems the dewalt are 5 pin, and porter cable / B&D are 4 pin. Probably not compatible. Frown

Check my tools and batteries, dewalt/B&D are 5 pin and porter cable is 4 pin. But I think the deal's battery is only fit for dewalt.bounce
