nice op.here my doubt. If I have 2 devices that take 6v each, and I hook each of them up to this one power supply, do I leave it at 6v or switch it to 12v?

It depends on if you wire them in series or parallel. If you wire the positive on each to the positive lead on the power supply and the same for the negative you'd have them in parallel in which case you'd set it for 6v.
