These "bladeless" fans are kind of a scam. There are blades in the bottom portion of the structure which belong to a fan. The air is pulled through the little grills on the surface of the cylinder and pushed by the fan. Then it is just routed towards the top and is ejected through slits around the circumference of the round shape.

Oh, yeah. And they're expensive AF.
I like my Dyson vaccum but these fans are just ridiculous. You can get the same results from a $40 lasko/holmes. They are all limited by the amperage of your circuit, so no one is any more powerful than the next.
