I own three different HP-branded dashcams.

All have problems in the heat as well.... if the car has been parked under the sun all day, turning on the car will not start recording. After the AC has been going for a few minutes, I had to manually unplug the power and plug it back in for recording to start.

although I've never experienced the cold problem after 3 years of using them...

condensation buildup from consistently humid and cold climates, with polarized swings to sun-amplified heat buildup, can compound the earlier demise of even quality-built electrical components.

Automotive and car electronics manufacturers learned to deal with this issue years ago.

Just ordered one. What the heck..I'll give this one a try even though it looks to be a battery model. My 2yr old G1W-C is starting to give me a bunch of problems. This one looks to be more discreet as well. Thanks OP!
