There is always another chipset on the horizon.

I wish they'd sell on Amazon. I have a good amount of gift credit there.

Kaby Lake chips coming in q2 of 2017 means we'll probably see stocks of Skylake XPS 13s dwindling and prices dropping a smidgen more.

Yeah, bummer it's the 2015 model. Granted, it's still a REALLY good laptop.

I'm looking forward to seeing this notebook with USB-C, but without touch, migrate to the Chromebook line. At $600 it will be tempting enough to replace my current Dell Chromebook.

Really? I didn't know that!

Or...my post was just meant to put things in perspective. I'm sure there are quite a few who wouldn't mind snapping up a bargain Skylake XPS 13.

Two things: this is last years model, and it's the QHD one with the mediocre battery life.

I'm looking for this years model with the matte 1080p non-touch. The notebook itself is awesome, though!

Doesn't the FHD (non touch) have some sort of dimming or adaptive brightness issue? I've read that it can't be turned off on that particular matte panels.

The newer model has a lot of unsolved bugs. Not sure about this

These are the kinds of things that drive me mad with Windows PCs. I haven't heard this, I've only heard good things about the 1080 panel. Hmm...

Anyway, always do your research before buying.

Is there any way to upgrade the RAM on this? Looking for 16GB.
