"manufacturer refurbished"

unfortunately, they don't always mean "HP refurbished"

it's similar to going partway back to the old non HD televisions. fonts and pictures will look more blocky and less detail will fit in the screen. if you are older with vision problems then this won't matter much.

Thanks for posting op. 5lb laptop can be slightly reduced with an ssd, but the only thing really holding me back is the card doesn't do wireless AC, and HP had been picky about cards they accept. overall though, pretty sweet deal for a touchscreen laptop!

If you haven't used a laptop with this resolution, don't use the sarcasm. I regret buying a laptop with this resolution because I didn't know any better. This is a valid warning.

Curious, how can u tell by that one sentence that the person wasn't asking a legitimate question out of curiosity? It's really hard to discern the intent behind the words. Help me understand if u understand how it's done.

the resolution is fine, especially since it is native. most people with laptops under 17 inches use that res even when it isnt native. dpi scaling still has issues in win 10.

My thoughts exactly. He jumped all over him based on that assumption.
