Any reason to prefer this kitchenware set over http://www.walmart.com/ip/Mainsta...t/50660024 for $20?

Good question. Comparing the two kitchenware sets, it looks to be a matter of quality. The Walmart set for $20 is cheap, but probably won't last too long. The comments and reviews on the Walmart set are indicating that people are having issues with staining. A lot of times lower quality stainless steels don't have enough chromium in them to shine brightly and may actually have a yellowish tint. The more chromium, the whiter the sheen. And lower quality stainless steel cookware can rust more easily, so stains will happen when you are cooking acidic things like a tomato sauce.

The handles look pretty cheap too, might fall off at some point. Another thing to think about it the stainless steel handle and knob conduct heat, where as the Forthechef.com set indicates a bakelite handle in the specs, so you can handle the kitchenware without burning your hand.

The price point is good at $20, but for a little more you are getting a set that will last and keep longer.
