Please add functionality to ignore deals or mark them as read

Here's a friendly suggestion to make SlickDeals even more awesome...

Please add the ability to ignore FrontPage deals that I choose. In other words, if I could tag or flag certain deals as read, ignore, completed, or something like that after I've looked at them... it would be great if that deal then became hidden for me.

In some of your other forums, you can mark to "ignore" a thread, but you can't do it on the FrontPage. It's also not easy to do on your mobile web site.

In any case, something that would make it even better would be the ability to check-off deals. In other words, whether I'm at the Front Page or in Popular Deals, it would be great to delete or remove posts from my view that I've already looked at, rejected, or used. Since I return to SlickDeals several times a day, it's often a waste of time wading through posts that I've already rejected in my mind. I also believe that it would make your site more "sticky" as users would spend time rejecting/deleting deals and perhaps even saving favorite deals to their Portfolio. Some ideas for implementation would be to add save and reject buttons next to the thumbs on each posting. Also, I would like to see these buttons on Front Page postings as well.

Being able to "check-off" each deal would also give users a sense of completion and make it even more fun to use SlickDeals. In your mobile apps, you could add swipe left and swipe right functionality to delete/ignore or flag deals.

Thanks for your consideration. These are just some thoughts on making an awesome site even better. Smilie
